Stocks - DTC (Electronic Transfer):
Giving stock through electronic transfer is an easy method when you maintain holdings in a brokered account. Depository Trust Company, or DTC, is the clearinghouse for electronic security transfers. Each brokerage firm has a specific DTC number. The following is our DTC information for your broker. Our agent is Commerce Bank, St. Louis. We also have a sample letter which can be used to mail or fax instructions to your broker (see instructions below). We recommend that you call your broker for their procedures.

Please notify Lutheran Hour Ministries with the name of the stock you are transferring and the number of shares before the transfer so that we match the transfer with your name. At the same time, please indicate the purpose of the contribution, such as Lutheran Hour Ministries, The Lutheran Hour, The Lutheran Hour Endowment Fund, or Lutheran Television.

You need to indicate your account number, name of stock, and number of shares to be transferred. Your signature might need to be guaranteed by a medallion signature guarantee (please check with your broker). Once this form is complete, deliver it your broker. Please make a photocopy of it and send it to Lutheran Hour Ministries for our records. The gift date is the date on which the stock arrives in our account. Please note that if you want to receive a deduction for this year, the gift must arrive in our account (rather than initiated from your account) no later than December 31.
