Steve DeBoer
Steve DeBoer
serves as Ministry Advancement Officer for Lutheran Hour Ministries.
In his position, DeBoer offers deferred and current gifting solutions
for donors to further Lutheran Hour Ministries' mission of Bringing
Christ to the Nations–and the Nations to the Church.
A resident of East Lansing, Michigan, DeBoer is responsible for
cultivating donors in Indiana, Michigan, Montana, and North and
South Dakota. He focuses on estate plans, trusts, gift annuities,
life insurance, property, as well as direct gifts.
Prior to joining LHM, DeBoer served as Vice President for Advancement
and Director of Development for Concordia University in Ann Arbor,
Michigan. Earlier in his career, he served with the Michigan State
Police for nearly 27 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1998. He
holds a master's degree in public administration from Western Michigan
University and a bachelor's degree from Hope College.
DeBoer, his wife Joy, and daughters Melissa and Lindsey are members
of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Haslett, Michigan, where he chairs
the building committee and serves on the planning and goals committee.
